One of my favorite aspects of the ShareaSale affiliate network is the fact that it makes it extremely easy for someone who owns multiple websites to manage their affiliate partnerships. You can see all of your sales from one screen unlike LinkShare, and do not need to remember to select the display website when creating a link as you do on Commission Junction. However, the potential downside is that you may occasionally forget to update your account when something changes about your website portfolio. In my case, the website that I was using as my primary domain on ShareaSale no longer exists, and I needed to change it. Here’s how to change your primary domain on ShareaSale.
- Log in to ShareaSale.com to view your account dashboard.
- Hover the mouse over “Account” at the top of the screen and select “Edit Settings” on the menu below.
- Type your primary domain in the “Main WWW Address” field.
- Click “Submit Changes” at the bottom of the page.
While you’re here, you might want to check the websites you have listed in the “Additional Websites You Control” and “Description you provided of your work” fields. The first field allows you to enter the addresses of each website you own, separated by commas. The second is a text field that allows you to describe your websites. If you have been a ShareaSale member for a while, it’s likely that some things have changed about your website portfolio, and you always want to put your best foot forward when applying to become an affiliate of a new merchant.
