How to Enable Domain Privacy Protection on BigRock

Domain privacy protection is a valuable tool. Because you are required to enter correct contact information including your name, address, phone number and email address when registering a domain, you risk receiving spam, postal junk mail and even unsolicited phone calls by proving this information. Privacy protection allows you to avoid this by replacing your contact information with that of a forwarding service. This prevents people from using your domain’s WHOIS information to contact you without your permission. Many registrars charge for this service. One of the reasons why I use BigRock as my registrar is because they include privacy protection free with domain registrations. Enable privacy protection for a domain on BigRock with these steps.

  1. Proceed to BigRock.com. Click “My Account” at the top of the page and enter your email address and password to log in to your account.
  2. Hover the mouse pointer over “Domains” on the menu bar and click “List All Orders.”
  3. Click the domain that you want to enable privacy protection on. The “Domain” tab should be selected on the new page. If it isn’t, click it.
  4. Click the “Privacy Protection” link.
  5. Click the “Enable” button at the bottom of the page.
  6. Click “OK” to confirm.
